To accomplish this new task on geography we will send you a work about “The Douro” region that is one the most beautiful regions of Portugal and it is most appreciated by tourists. It is Known by its wine and its amazing landscapes. In this region the most important river is the Douro river. This river rises in Spain in the province of Soria, the peaks of the Sierra de Urbião, at 2080 meters in altitude and traverses the north of Portugal. The mouth of the Douro is near the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It Is 927 km long.
