Centro Escolar de Lamego n.º 2

Last week our school had been working on Halloween day.

All teachers had worked together. It was a team work. We did some crafts related to the theme, such as, Jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, spiders and witches. Then we used them to decorate our school.

The 29^th October was the big day. It was the Halloween party day. The canteen of the school was decorated with the crafts, balloons, spiders´ webs, Jack-o-lanterns and bats. Everything was strictly prepared to receive the students…

Our children were coming, dressed in their costumes. There were skeletons, witches, Dracula and mummies. They were very pretty and scary! All they had a number, which gave them the opportunity to participate in the games.

The party started with the “balloon game”. Children, who were called, had to burst the balloon. It had flour and a candy. Then some of them played the “chair game”. They had to dance around the chairs and when the music stopped, they had to sit down, who had missed, lost the game.

The party finished with a kind of “masks´ parade”. Children were called by grades and showed their Halloween masks. In the end, three of them won and receive the medal of the “Best costume 2010”.

In the end all children received a candy and were happy with this pleasant afternoon.
